I thought it was the official one because it was under the discourse/ repository, but it looks like it was not developed by you guys (and not updated in 2 years). You just ported it to Ember 2.

The issue is in plugin.rb, where I think they use that field for some feature(generation of a cached html block, latest_solved_answers) that is actually not implemented in the sidebar functionality itself. I forked and fixed the issue, but I think you can just remove all that code to do what the script is supposed to do (adding a simple sidebar space on the side).
And this is my fork, but use with caution as it fixed the issue for me but I have not yet tried if that generated html block works.
