How and when did you install discourse?

You are right, the following line was at beginning of app.yml "templates/postgres.9.5.template.yml" I replaced it by: "templates/postgres.template.yml" The first rebuild after this change upgraded my Postgres database And the second rebuild is currently running, but it seems to work …

So you changed that to 9.5 over 2 years ago and forgot about it. Well, just in time, the upgrade to PostgreSQL 12 is coming very soon. Meta is already running on it.
