No, in server logs i only get 500 error. nothing else (nor even the line at which code breaks)

What is the backtrace and error for the 500? My suspicion is you may not have run migrations, have you?

yes I was going to say the same but it’s definitely in the steps of the doc :man_shrugging: I would recommend you to try using: Developing Discourse using a Dev Container That should be a much easier way for you to get a working dev env.

I ran all the command from the doc and wanted to install discourse manually (not with docker) and all three DB’s are migrated successfully. checking: LOAD_PLUGINS=1 rake db:migrate

Initially, When running “bundle install”. i got issues with gem (“mini_racer”, “0.18.pre1”) so i downgrade it to ‘~> 0.6.2’. Is that can be the cause? This is the only thing i did different from document.

Maybe, once you’ve run migrations again, check for 500 and report the detail of that error from within /logs here.
