Is there a way we can add custom created items in this list? I mean, I understand that we can add it to the list through different means, but I mean if we could do it as the default for the users instead of ‘latest’?

There’s a theme component that will let you add items to the top menu. I can’t find that, but maybe this will help? Filtered Topic Lists
