How do I unclaim an item that I’ve claimed?

The post in question has the text ‘You’ve claimed this item and can review it.’ displayed below it.

I am logged in as an admin user.

Is there not an X button next to that text, shown after you click the button to claim it? Click that to unclaim it. This is what I see:

If you don’t see the button then maybe you are on an older version and need to update your site? I am not sure when that X button was implemented.

I have the same issue. I flagged a post, and the system automatically claimed it for me, and I cannot unclaim it.

Hmm.. it must relate to the reason given when the item was flagged? I will keep an eye on this.

Just to let you know, I’ve just tried claiming/unclaiming a different post and can unclaim that one ok. The queued post I can’t unclaim was created on 6 May 2025. Both posts are flagged with the Reason: ‘Needs Approval’.

Er is zojuist iets gebeurd dat een factor kan zijn: ik heb ‘Post herzien’ geselecteerd voor een wachtende geposte post (die 21 uur geleden is geplaatst), vervolgens heb ik niet ‘PM verzenden’ geselecteerd maar geannuleerd. Voordat ik ‘Post herzien’ selecteerde, had ik het item niet geclaimd via de tekst ‘Je kunt dit item claimen om te voorkomen dat anderen het beoordelen.’ + icoon, maar er staat nu ‘Je hebt dit item geclaimd en kunt het beoordelen.’ (en er staat geen x-knop naast de tekst zodat ik het niet kan ontclaimen).
