Hello, a member recently registered on my site. I had published some of his YouTube videos under my name, and now I would like to change the owner of these topics to his name. Unfortunately, I am getting an ownership attribution error. Do you have any idea what might be causing this error? Thanks. [image]

Well, I’m changing quite often ownership of federated posts. But I admit — I change it before that topic/OP has federated, so perhaps I should say I’m changing ownership of a post that will be federated. If I remember right I have changed ownership of already federated one by moving that topic under un-federating category, did it there and moved back to original category.

There’s often a bit more detail in the /logs or browser console, if you can check those for extra clues. :crossed_fingers:

I have this in browser console (nothing in logs): [This image displays a browser console filled with various warnings and messages related to content security policies, cookie access, and deprecated code within a Discourse application. (Captioned by AI)]

Hmm  I would have expected to see something in both those places. Was that a shot of the browser console when you attempted to perform the change ownership?

I have this now: [This image displays the developer tools of a web browser, specifically showing the network request details for a web page, including headers, timing, and other technical information. (Captioned by AI)]

did you originally publish them with ActivityPub?

that’s probably why. [image]Changing ownership of a topic doesn’t work It’s a current limitation(/feature?) of the ActivityPub plugin
