E-mails werken niet

Allereerst wil ik graag weten hoe ik een back-up van mijn forum kan downloaden via de console in DigitalOcean, omdat ik de e-mail van de back-up niet ontvang.

Ten tweede heb ik het probleem al gevonden dat het forum geen e-mails verzendt, de poort staat op 587. Dus wat ik vraag is hoe ik kan overschakelen naar poort 2525 in Brevo om mijn e-mails weer te laten werken, omdat ik die opties niet kan vinden.
Een andere optie zou zijn om over te schakelen naar het gratis abonnement van Mailgun, maar ik weet ook niet hoe ik in mijn Discourse-forum van Brevo naar Mailgun kan overschakelen.

Ik heb vanmiddag een testinstallatie gedaan - Digital Ocean net als jij

.\discourse-doctor waarschuwde voor een probleem met poort 587, verbinding met Brevo

bij wijziging van poort 587 naar 2525 in app.yml en herbouwen, werkte e-mail👍

i did a Windows 11 screen recording of the full successful install, that involved many changes particularly with outbound email (third-party) providers Brevo or MailGun. Hoping to land it in the Community wiki > Sysadmins category tommorow🙂 (as in United Kingdom’s tommorow)

this step might be Unnecessary anyway, because /shared is bind-mounted to the host already ??

please note i haven’t tested these commands at all

You can set everything up in the Mailgun side of things, then change the SMTP username and password in your app.yml file.
