When a post is older than AI translation backfill max age days, currently even as an admin, I don’t get any notice that the post won’t be translated. I just see the confirmation toast that it will be added to the queue, and then no translation is to be found for the post.
Instead, for regular users, there should already be a notice that since the post is older than the AI translation backfill max age days setting, it won’t be translated.
You mean when manually requesting a translation via the post menu? That should override the backfill max age days setting, as that setting is explicitly about the backfill .
Let me check it’s behavior.
