I have muted the #ai tag, but I can see this topic: AI Summary leaking hidden tags and others. [image]

I think it may have happened because you are watching #site-feedback, so you were notified when the topic was moved from #support to #site-feedback because the watching overruled the muting.

Muting can be quite confusing. What are your tracking levels for the #bug, #site-feedback and #support[1] categories? Do you see the “Notify me about topics in categories or tags I’m watching that also belong to one I have muted” option in your tracking preferences? Is that disabled? [image] What is the tracking level of the individual topic that you are notified about? The topic was moved twice ↩︎

Thank you for looking into it @Moin. [image] Moin: What is your tracking level for the #bug::category category? It’s normal. Yes, I do have the “notify me for tags in muted categories” but the tags are muted, and the category not. [image]

Check the edit history. It was moved twice

Shall we move this topic to #support?

I’m not sure. Maybe there should be an “un-notification process” to ensure the notifications are removed from queue when the topics are moved away from a normal category. That may sound complicated, and certainly it is, but it’s very surprising to see muted tags popping up in this case. Maybe adding a delay before notification would have prevented this instance… In any case, you’re right, this can happen to other people and should be easy to find. Maybe the people working on notifications could have a look and decide how to handle this situation. A feature topic maybe?

That makes sense. Thank you for clearing that up.
