as at the time both the owner and mod werent around

That’s what happens if the akismet key is invalid. I was supplying Akismet to some clients until recently and failed to turn it off on (at least) one site and that’s what happened.. So they need to disable akisment and then get a working key or get the AI Spam plugin working.

Ok thanks will reach out to the owner and see if they have the wrong key how does they know

Check the configuration of the AI spam scanner at /admin/plugins/discourse-ai/ai-spam — the admin can update the instructions there and ask it to be more forgiving. The default spam persona can be sensitive if there a lot of posts that appear unrelated or random in the topic…

Hello kris i will have them take a look and set it to less harsher thank you and respond on if it works

Hello @awesomerobot so the user granted me admin and i noticed it wasnt even on the admin/plugins/discourse-ai/ai-spam which is intresting because i got silenced anyways

I’m not certain what you see if you hit the “fast typing threshold” – but you might check these settings: [image] It’s meant to catch spammers that sign up just to paste some content. Maybe you pasted material or just typed a couple of words..?

The fundamental thing is that if humans are on the forum just posting stuff that highly resembles spam you are going to need to adjust the custom prompt in the admin section to be extremely lax. If people are just chatting back and forth why not simply use Discourse chat?

I took yadda yadda to be a summary of the roadblocks he got from the system… Curious about “adjust the custom prompt” – is this a setting for Akismet or Discourse AI spam detection? (I have neither.)
