For me, it’s perfectly fine when I read a stranger’s chat and they use “you.”

I agree The chat context is indeed very clear and it makes the translations easier to do win-win

I’ve also replaced a few references to gender-neutral pronouns with the username placeholder so they can more easily be translated.
