Not sure if this has been brought up before, but installing the forum as a PWA will greatly decrease friction, and won’t need users to key in the web address/open the browser app. In that sense, it’s almost like a normal app.

Yes, and getting push notifications to open those apps makes it a pretty darn good experience.
