Yup, in the new release system we intend to have a 2-month overlap on ESR support. So 2026.1 will be supported until September, which will be 2 months after 2026.7 ESR is released.
Unfortunately it’s not easy for us to provide that overlap for the existing “stable” 3.5, because it doesn’t have a dedicated branch. But from 2026.1 onwards, the situation should be much better for people who want to update less frequently.
