Description:
The order of characters when typing in the floating search widget is reversed.

Reproducible steps:

1. Rotate the device to horizontal.

2. Enter a topic.

3. If safe mode is not enabled, scroll down a little to show the search icon.
   

   

4. Tap the search icon and you should see the popover:
   

   

5. Type “thing” in the box.

6. Expected: “thing” appears. Actual: “gniht” appears.

   Character deletion is unaffected.

Funny find.

While the bug remains and to circumvent the issue, I suggest you search only palindromes

Can’t reproduce on Edge 145, Android 16, Gboard keyboard.

Can you try with a different keyboard?

I discovered it’s related to the floating keyboard feature, have yet to test other keyboards:

Also the keyboard I used is Sogou IME customized for Xiaomi

I’ll test other keyboards later.
