I’m fairly new to Discourse, so forgive my ignorance. Is this feature designed to compete directly with services such as Disqus? I get the sense it’s something different, but am unable to grasp the full context just yet.
FYI, I’m bringing Discourse into my day job as our private, members-only online community using SSO via our membership management system. We also have a blog and I’m wondering if I can find a use for this feature which could attract new members without allowing anonymous comments.
I sense lots of possibilities with this feature, but can’t grasp the full potential just yet. Looking forward to the feedback from the team and the community here.
