It failed to import all the avatars (only imported admins) and it saw that an admin already existed on our forum so it didn’t make a new one or replace it, I thought it had merged it but it didn’t migrate any of their posts due to the fact that the user already existed. Do any of you happen to have a fix for this?
Some other issues as well:
Link in the content weren’t rewritten. This is likely a post-migration find/replace we need to run.
Post reactions weren’t converted either. Mentioned in the requirements. We’ll go through those later. Some were, others weren’t.
You mean internal links to other posts? I’ve implemented this for some importers. I think it’s easier to fix in the importer where old->new mapping is easier to get.
Just how HTML gets to markdown can be problematic. You’ll need to look at those example and see if you want to try to fix them now, later, or not at all.
Would you mind looking through it and seeing if most of these have easy fixes or is something we did wrong? (Ex. some attachments displaying and others not, and name tags not moving over either)
