I think there should be a feature that if you react to a post with a 💔 or like a 👎 it goes down a like \[1\]. Also ya’ll should add more reactions. This is short, but I hope you know what I mean.

Admins can do that on a per-site basis already, our forum actually has a lot of them:

And they can also exclude reactions from counting as a like. By default, the 👎 emoji is in that list.

Well, those negative ones are quite often given in the meaning ”I agree, that’s awful” or… how my forum used quite alot after one election.
Here in Finland we use quite often two examples when discussed this context:
- ”My dog/cat died” — is the ”right” reaction 💔 or 👍
- ”It is snowing, again” — again, 🩷 or 👎
So, it depends how and to what an user reacts.
But in this context, I can understand down votes when there is a poll, but deducting amount of likes 😳 Absolutely no.
And yet it could be an option. Like ads are, and pop-ups.

@bob_the_tomato Here’s a plugin with an upvote/downvote system like SO. It’s not exactly what you’re looking for, but it’s kinda similar.
