There isn’t an existing import script for FUDforum, so a new script will need to be developed, which might make your time line a challenge. I’ve done over a hundred migrations over the past 9 years and have done many custom migrations. At least one I did in under a week.
If you’ve got an mbox file(s) then it should be pretty easy. It’ll be more work to not import the users, but there are ways to do that.

I should clarify that we’ve been running a parallel email listserv, which is how most users interact with the forum. All of the emails that they send to the listserv are simply uploaded as forum topics. So we don’t need to preserve users. We really just want to preserve all of the content.

A bit off topic, but I loved FUD Forum back in the day. It was one of the only forums that properly handled email, and that you could just feed an mbox into to migrate to it.
If you are using mailman or a listserv tool that preserved an mbox archive then you’ll be in great shape for migrating to Discourse.
