Hi,
I was wondering if there is a space where the admins of communities (hosted on discourse) can connect.
Especially the ones who do not have a tech background.
If there is one, please direct me to that.
If not, maybe we can start here.
Thanks.
This is a discussion on the Discourse Meta forum about connecting community administrators who host their communities on Discourse, especially those without a technical background.
saurabhmithal inquired if there is a space for such admins to connect. Architect confirmed that this forum serves that purpose. ondrej suggested exploring the Documentation category for admin-related guidance.
JammyDodger recommended the #community category for people/community discussions, while eisammy proposed #praise to share self-hosting experiences and receive feedback.
Heliosurge noted that any category on the forum can serve the purpose of connecting admins, as long as the discussions are properly categorized. The community is described as quite awesome for this kind of exchange.

Yes, this is it here you found it!
In addition to what Architect said above, feel free to have a gander at the Documentation category as this is the most pertinent if you want to look at / learn the admin side of managing a Discourse.
Our Community Building category is for questions and discussions about all things people/community related rather than any developer or hosting issues, which sounds like it could be the right place for you. ![]()
Do you have any particular questions or issues in mind you’d like to raise? Or please feel free to browse the existing Community Building topics and weigh in on any you find interesting. ![]()
And here Community Building > Praise can you share your experience as an self-host and receive feedbacks about it.
Safe to say any category here serves that purpose. Just a matter of placing the discussion in the correct space.
The community here is quite awesome.
