# Ability to do inline commands

Ok, I had two purposes to post this. First, I wanted to make the suggestion. Secondly, I wanted to test creating a topic from the chat. I am in love with the ability to do that.

In the context of Discourse, specifically, what commands do you feel make sense? I could see it being used to access some of the more complicated functions/formatting, like Link or Upload. Anything else that makes sense to you?

I agree with th formatting, etc. I could also see some more specific chat type of commands which may or may not need / commands like
Whisper which would allow an inline direct message within the chat to a user in the chat
Perhaps some mod level commands like a way to put a user in timeout or to kick them form the chat for a period of time.
