# About merging profile sections/pages

Many of us love Discourse because it allows us to customize it, especially those of us who code (some of us just _“code”_) and are used to set every detail in everything we use.

We know that most of our users don’t share our passion and want everything to be within one or -at most- two clicks/taps.

I find that the profile page has too many buttons and too much noise for users to find what they’re looking for without getting lost or giving up along the way.

I know that completely transforming this Discourse space will take time, but I find there’s something very simple that can work:

- Unify the **‘Security’ options with ‘Account’**. They are closely related and it makes sense for them to be displayed in a single layout.

- Likewise, I find that **‘Following’ and ‘Notifications’** could follow a similar path, although this might require closer analysis than simply merging and calling it done.

Thoughts? I believe that in the new Discourse that we’re all enjoying, this is the last thing that’s still very rough and should be updated soon.
