# About X Section - Default

How can I turn this off. I don’t want a default thread for every forum or sub forum and it appears I cannot delete these threads.

Hello!

The about XXX category topic can **not** be deleted, as it contains the description of the the category, which appears in various places. What you can do is unlist it, so none of the non-mod users can see it.

Just make sure not to delete it, as it may break things down.
