Some quick points of reference:  
Friendica and Hubzilla **can** [turn RSS feeds](https://github.com/friendica/friendica/wiki/How-to:-import-Atom-RSS-Feed) into ActivityPub/Diaspora\*/OStatus compatible federated accounts.

Also, see this [Wordpress plugin](https://github.com/pfefferle/wordpress-activitypub) that turns posts into ActivityPub posts.
