# Add an "all messages" option as default in /my/messages

I would like to be able to offer an “all messages” overview to our users.

For topics it is common to see public and private groups shown in the same view.

People miss messages sent to groups, if they do not use notifications.

In general, people are overwhelmed by the amount of places to look for messages (topics, chat, personal messages, group messages).

We would like to experiment to narrow down the possible places to find messages (preferably to one), which could be then refined / drilled down by further options.

Preferably the default view in `/my/messages`should show all messages (also sent by myself).

Type of messages (PN, group message) and last state (incoming, outgoing) could be indicated with icons in front of the title.

Group inboxes are already shown in messages, which where send to multiple groups:

The overview should show all targeted groups.

I would like to learn, If this feature could be implemented as theme component.

My gut feeling tells me, that a combined stream of messages provided by a plugin might be required.
