Add links to menu bar

(Phillip Kuoch) #1

Hi,

I was wondering if it was possible to add links to the Discourse menu bar? This way, it would be useful to add a link back to our blog!

Thanks!

We use a common piece of JavaScript across all our sites to add a header with links to our community’s various sites. This can be added in your admin’s customization section.

@downey Can you show me the example code for adding links to menu bar?

Sure, the code for the menu bar we’re using is at: GitHub - openmrs/openmrs-contrib-id-globalnavbar: Global navigation bar across OpenMRS Community.

I’m not clear what you are referring to here. If this approach is still relevant can you please give some more detail where this JavaScript can be added.

The approach is still relevant. You can easily add HTML or JS to your site from the Admin interface. Navigate to your_site_domain/admin/customize/css_html. You can then add a new customization, name it, and add all the CSS, HTML, and JS you want.
