# 이미지 파일에 .svg 확장자를 추가하기

제가 사용하는 디스커스(Discourse) 포럼 중 하나는 기본적으로 "이미지 파일"만 업로드를 허용하도록 설정되어 있습니다. 그런데 .svg 파일은 "권한이 없습니다"라는 메시지와 함께 업로드가 거부되더군요. .svg 파일도 이미지이긴 하지만, 라스터 방식이 아닌 벡터 방식이라 품질 저하 없이 크기를 조절할 수 있는 것이 특징입니다. 또한 .png 파일을 .svg로 변환했을 때 파일 크기도 비슷하거나 오히려 더 작았습니다.

- .png 파일: 8190바이트
- .svg 파일: 4273바이트

그렇다면 .svg 파일이 이미지 파일로 취급되지 않는 이유는 무엇일까요?
