# Add user to group from profile page?

I have some users I want to add to a group (or two).

I can never remember the usernames so I go through the user list, click on the user to go to their profile, and from there, how can I add them to a group?

I don’t seem to be able to find a way!

For admins there is a way. For moderators, there is not.

Hit the admin 🔧 on the user’s profile, and scroll down to Groups.  
Under Custom, add the group(s) you wish them to join:

You can even add staged users to groups this way, which can be very handy at times.

Great! That’s what I was looking for. Not sure why I didn’t see it — didn’t scroll down far enough when I checked the wrench tab, I bet!
