# Add "watched items" to the description of js.user.email\_direct

In the prefs, js.user.email\_direct is currently described as:
> Send me an email when someone quotes me, replies to my post, mentions my @username, or invites me to a topic
While it would be nice to simplify to just, “send me notification emails”, this setting doesn’t cover _all_ emails (there’s a separate setting for emails about private messages), and not all notifications are emailed (notifications of likes never go out by email).
As long as it’s a list of cases, it should be thorough. The description above implies that js.user.email\_direct only affects the listed items, but it also affects emails for watched items.
So, I propose the description be changed to something like:
> Send me an email when someone quotes me, replies to my post, mentions my @username, invites me to a topic, or posts somewhere I’m watching (including watched categories, tags, or topics).

No, we won’t be making that change.
We have no evidence that anyone is confused by this such that more verbosity is needed. Extra verbosity for the sake of verbosity isn’t desirable.
