#2 above seems to be a rough spot for many implementations, including ours.

Note that you are using fenced code blocks, NOT the same thing as standard markdown 4 space indent code blocks.

They’re not part of any standard other than what GitHub made up.

And for general reference you want a para between any code blocks anyway, ideally with a header or some text intro’ing the block.
