In my profile I’ve configured German as my locale. However, when I split a topic it should post with the server’s locale (English in this case) instead of using mine. ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/3X/1/7/1790101e14b9bb82516109a83cc76f72ac9f7d00.png) Other moderator and admin actions have probably the same problem. ---

This is now fixed. The system now always uses the default locale when [a users splits a topic](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/efef42241620bb935956415bdd92ad9555e6b448) or [changes the owner of a post](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/f3d3129113a65dd5b37ec6de53ec8de999a98c57). ---
