# Admins still see deleted posts days later

This is a screenshot from docker based discourse which is almost fully up to date

In it, I’m presented with a 14 day old deleted post… the words say it’ll be gone by now.. what do I need to do to make this go away for real?

It is deleted. It was deleted by @system 24 hours after he self-deleted the post, which causes a revision. You had to click to expand to see it 😉

So, the word `deleted` is a misnomer?

All posts are soft-deleted, even expunged revisions are soft-deleted. The only way to destroy post data through the UI is through a database restore.
