Chat is not even enabled for anonymous, see:

Allow visitors and search engines to see chat channels

All channels have a URL. The quality of the content is not worse than in the topics. I think it’s time to add a setting to make them publicly available and indexed by search engines

So whatever traffic this new traffic is, it is not really possible it is coming from chat.

You are going to have to look through web logs (or configure something like google analytics) to get a good understanding on what is going on at the micro level.
