AI Helper interrupting uploaded mp3 audio stream

AI-generated summary

A user, MachineScholar, reports an issue in the UX category where the AI Helper interrupting an uploaded MP3 audio stream causes the audio to stop and reset to the beginning when the modal is closed, disrupting the user experience. 5 sam acknowledges the issue and notes that @keegan is investigating, with a fix proposed in this pull request. The fix is expected to resolve the problem, and the user is asked to confirm if the issue persists after updating Discourse AI.

I use my Discourse instance as a learning management system (LMS) and my users have noticed a malfunction.

Each topic I create a new topic for each educational article and I upload an mp3 reading of article into the topic (as shown in the screenshot below). The issue is that when the user uses the AI Helper on this text then clicks out of the AI Helper modal box to close it, the audio stops playing and is sent back to the beginning. Therefore, the user has to scroll back up, re-find their place in the audio, then scroll back down to their place in the text, etc. It all makes a bit of a mess of the user experience :grimacing:

Thanks heaps for raising this and for the clear repro steps.

@keegan is having a look and may have found the root cause.

Interestingly, @saquetim is reworking the post stream now, so we have to think through a couple of rendering systems for bugs like this.
