# Akismet hid a non-spam topic here on meta (false positive)

I was browsing a new topic which contained a report of a failure to upgrade, and suddenly the topic was hidden by Akismet.
Might be worth investigating why it made that decision.

Unfortunately Akismet, like most spam-detection systems, is a ‘black box’. We don’t get any info on why something was flagged. But, we do automatically report back on false-positives so that they can improve their models.
