All user with IP 127.0.0.1

(Martial) #1

Hello,

I just create a new forum but all user have the same IP : 127.0.0.1 at registration and last visit IP.
There is no proxy, all user are on the same network (192.168.200.0/24) and the machine with the docker is also on the same network.

Any idea to fix this problem ?

Are you 120% sure of this? This really looks like a proxy.

Which instructions did you use to install Discourse? Did you deviate in any way from them?

(Martial) #3

100% sure ! no proxy

I follow this : discourse/INSTALL-cloud.md at master · discourse/discourse · GitHub
And this: Allowing SSL / HTTPS for your Discourse Docker setup

User already have 127.0.0.1 without https

(Felix Freiberger) #4

Are you behind a CDN?

(Martial) #5

Absolutely not behind a CDN

(Felix Freiberger) #6

Very weird. Maybe Discourse has problems with local IPs like these?

Apart from that, I’m out of ideas :frowning:

(Darren) #7

This is normal, for some reason Discourse reports 127.0.0.1 for private networks. As soon as you put the site on the internet and start getting requests from other IP addresses you will see those other IP addresses appear in the log.

(Martial) #8

Okey, any workaround to fix this in private network ?
