# Allow accessing user information via the user's permanent identifier

Instead of `https://meta.discourse.org/u/roke_julian_lockhart.json#:~:text=user,129529`, I would appreciate being able to query `https://meta.discourse.org/u/129529.json`, or similar, \[1\] because being able to access some of my profiles’ information, irrespective of their usernames, would mean less maintenance work for me.
