# Allow users to toggle timestamps to 24 hour time

Some users (me included) would rather have timestamps (e.g. chat message timestamps, or these: 2024-08-07T02:30:00Z) in 24 hour time instead of 12 hour time.

Having a toggle option for this in user preferences would be awesome if it’s not too hard to implement.

One trick to get this is changing your interface locale to English UK.
