Part of my daily routine is to check http://meta.discourse.org at least a few minutes each day. But today suddenly all the avatar images appear broken. Am I the only person experiencing this bug?

The bug only appears on Comodo Dragon, Firefox works fine.

Clearing my cookies and logging back in doesn't seem to solve the bug, also cleared the cache by hitting cntrl + F5 to no avail.

Running:

• Windows 8
• Comodo Dragon browser (Basically privacy enhanced Google Chrome)

This is probably related to gravatar.

Out of curiosity I downloaded Comodo Dragon browser and tested discourse.org, it all works well for me. Images of avatars are tad slow to appear but they did.

Okay so I logged into Firefox today, and the same error is happening. Before logging in the avatars were displaying like normal. Cntrl + F5 doesn't solve the problem.

No issues in default chrome, however, the problem in Firefox and Comodo Dragon persists. I have tried clearing my cache and cookies again, which didn't help.

Edit: I have the same problem on Github, so the problem is indeed related to Gravatar.

Edit 2: The problem is related to browser extension Ghostery. It appears that just recently they added a block option for Gravatar and all trackers are enabled by default.

According to Ghostery's website, they have 20 million people using the extension and most of them probably auto update their blocklist. Bad news for gravatar. https://www.ghostery.com/
