# Also cleanup in chat when users are flagged for spamming?

My Discourse install flagged and deleted a user (via Akismet)…

Could it also yank this user’s chat messages??

Do you know if this is still an issue?

I think what _should_ happen now is that the messages should show up as deleted, with the ability to reveal them, per this other fix made here: [Chat channels broke after user deleted - #6 by mcwumbly](https://meta.discourse.org/t/chat-channels-broke-after-user-deleted/234858/6)

`¯\_(ツ)_/¯` sorry, it’s rare I get a user who gets themselves auto-flagged, who I then delete… so not sure what the behavior is currently.
