Alternative icons

I’m using it for category icons. Actually, some shows as FA and others as lucide:

And for “microphone” icon, i’m using Resenha - Add Discord-style Voice Rooms to Your Community :studio_microphone:

I’ve added the three icons to the set :slight_smile: (microphone, newspaper, gamepad)

@Canapin we’ve been using this set for a while: github.com/discourse/discourse-lucide-icons. Also refactored the code a bit recently. Would you see any improvements for that set?

I’m using lucide for another project of mine, and everything looks quite nice. However, they don’t have brand logos due to copyright reasons IIRC. Does this handle that in any way?

There’s a few outline icons on the repo that have been added last year:

// Brand icons
"fab-apple": "lc-apple",
"fab-chrome": "lc-chromium",
"fab-facebook": "lc-facebook",
"fab-github": "lc-github",
"fab-instagram": "lc-instagram",
"fab-linkedin-in": "lc-linkedin",
"fab-twitter": "lc-twitter",

Though I actually don’t know where they are from :melting_face:

Probably not. I wasn’t aware of this set as it was not listed in the first post :person_shrugging:

@David_Ghost if you are using mine, you should switch to the official one :slight_smile:

Yeah, I made a note to update this topic. We should probably drop the feather icons repo and replace it with lucide. Lucide icons started as a fork of feather icons and has a much more comprehensive set by now.

I opted for a dedicated theme component topic for this set:

Do you plan to update the discourse-alt-icons repositiory as well?
I am not sure I would also search the topics here on Meta since the repository contains a list of the existing repositories.

Or will topics for the other icons sets be added too so Meta becomes the new place of truth?
