I configured my wordpress site with SSO and when I return to my Discourse site I get the message  
**An account could not be registered with the email address . Please contact the site’s administrator.**

On google I found that I must disable email verification on wordpress ([How to turn off Discourse email verification? - #3 by Alexander\_Oskin](https://meta.discourse.org/t/how-to-turn-off-discourse-email-verification/75365/3)).

So I modified discourse-sso.php in my wordpress site as  
$require\_activation = apply\_filters( ‘discourse\_email\_verification’, $require\_activation, $user\_id );  
to  
$require\_activation = apply\_filters( ‘discourse\_email\_verification’, false, $user\_id );

but with no luck  
Can anyone tell me how can I overcome this problem
