This is bugging me out. I have a category C1 that is configured with requiring minimum 3 tags, and “Require new topics to have tags from tag groups:” where I added 3 tag groups, and 1 tag minimum for each.
I have another category C2 where no tag settings are used, it allows any tags and doesn’t require anything.
I have a topic in C1 with 3 tags a,b,c. I want to move it to C2, so I click the title, change the category, press Save, and get the above error.
I then tried to create a new topic in C2 with the exact same tags a,b,c and it created it just fine.
I then removed a,b,c from the topic in C1, and then changed the category to C2, which worked. I then went to C2, opened the topic, and added the a,b,c tags back again. That also worked.
Surely this is a bug, right?
Running v3.5.1.
p.s. Not sure if this matters, but I’m mentioning it just in case: category C1 previously had the setting “Restrict these tag groups to the ‘Questions 2025’ category:” activated, with the same 3 tag groups added. The topic in question was created while that setting was active. That setting has been removed in the meantime (currently “Restrict these tag groups to the ‘Questions 2025’ category:” is empty).
