# Android "Desktop App Button"

Hi there,
when visiting a Discourse site with Android, an info box is shown at the bottom, asking the user if he would like to add the site to the desktop.
When I click on this, how is that being saved. From what I understand it is not possible to see if the user already has it has a desktop shortcut or not. I also don’t see it reappearing after some time.
So I’m wondering, does it set a cookie or local storage entry which stays there forever/a long time?
