# Any way to prevent notifications for post merges, moves?

我们收到许多用户的投诉，当他们观看首帖时，管理员重新分类后他们从未得知相关话题。

我想我会支持某种基于年龄的截断机制，但这对于向最终用户解释来说也很困难。

我尝试过禁用邮件、更改帖子类别后再重新启用邮件，但并未奏效（邮件仍然被发送）。

我推测，若要使此功能生效，我需要在重新启用邮件之前，让邮件保持禁用状态 10 分钟以上。

@Bathinda 似乎有一个新的站点设置可以做到这一点：`disable category edit notifications`（禁用类别编辑通知）

我刚意识到启用此设置还将阻止计划主题触发通知。@sam 这是预期行为吗？
