# Any way to send PM to TL2 without including TL3 and TL4?

The default group PM behavior seems based on the general TL rollup: everyone is a member of their TL group and all the TL groups below.
I hoped to address a specific TL group without including “uplevel” members – but I don’t see a way.
Is there a way to PM _only_ TL1 or _only_ TL2 etc. that I’ve missed?

Do you want to message them all in one message? You can use [Discourse Dynamic Groups](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-dynamic-groups/365342) to create a group with only users with TL2 and allow at least admins to send messages to that group.

Is this a one way announcement you want to send? Will there be more of them? If so then a group with a secure category might be more suitable, or a group you are allowed to @ mention.
If it’s a one off message, you can use bcc to the group you create. Each member will get their own message.

Thanks, Moin – I didn’t want to export & use external email per that linked topic, but I had not come across the Dynamic Groups plugin – looks that would do it!

Yes, I’m thinking ad-hoc messages re. limitations or other subjects that don’t apply to higher TL users.
I didn’t know about the [Discourse BCC Plugin](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-bcc/134721) – that sounds very handy for doing this without creating a group inbox.
(Wish I could mark two solutions…)
