# Anything required from Discourse in our Terms of Service?

We’re working to revise our terms of service and wanted to know whether there is anything in the default ToS that is _required_ from Discourse or we’re free to modify this as we see fit.

The provided template terms of service are just that - a template. You’re free to modify it as you see fit (and this is reiterated in the [hosting terms](https://www.discourse.org/standard-hosting-terms#choose-public-terms-and-policies)).

Yup! The link from `/about`, and anyone visiting `/tos` directly, are changed to that URL.
