# Are private messages from users with banned IPs removed from inboxes?

I banned a user in my forum by IP yesterday and now I have another user reporting that he can no longer find messages in his inbox from the banned user. Is this expected behavior?

It sounds like you deleted the user. If that’s the case, yes all their content including PMs is gone.
