# Are Topics the Equivalent of Facebook Posts?

The [New Topic Header Button](https://meta.discourse.org/t/new-topic-header-button/84551) component can give you a [+ New Topic] button at the top of every page (and you could add a bright color or something):

Some topic hijacking is probably inevitable on any platform, but as you noted it’s thankfully easy to relocate those in Discourse.
