# Ask Question First, Create account later?

Hello,

I have installed discourse and I am very happy with it.

But I have one query. Can the user ask the question first and then create account?  
Or ask questions without creating account at all (anonymously) ?

No, users must have an account to post.

Users with accounts can post anonymously, but if a site administrator (not a standard user) wanted to look into which user was the anonymous account, with effort they could. There are no plugins that allow non-registered users to post that I know of.
