# 询问主题所有者是否希望其主题被顶起

Continuing the discussion from [Automatically bumping old topics on a category](https://meta.discourse.org/t/automatically-bumping-old-topics-on-a-category/92518):

I’m looking at this more like a way to engage users:

it’d be nice and engaging if the auto-bump bot first ask topic owners if they want their topic to get bumped.

something like facebook memories feature:

there would be other benefits, rather than user engagement, as well:

- only those topics will get bumped that their user is still looking for a discussion,
- users get the feeling that they have bumped it themselves, other users also see it as a human action and not a system push,
